THE ANNUAL UPTON GREY AUTUMN FESTIVAL

THIS EVENT on Saturday, 31st October, 2026, is currently being updated on this web site.

As it occurs on Halloween we are featuring a number of special kiddies Halloween activities in the afternoon, starting at 3pm in the marquee and back garden of the Hoddington Arms (The Hodd) in addition to our bonfire and fireworks display. After the fireworks there is a disco being held in the marquee. Food and drink is available from 4pm and into the evening

At 6pm we gather at the Hodd for a procession leading to the Hoddington Estate for our bonfire and professional fireworks display. Mulled wine is available and the local bellringers ring out an Autumn Peal as the procession leads off

Afterwards you can return to the Hodd for an evening event with a special choice of 4 course dinner in the Hodd served at 8pm or a supper in the Marquee served at 8.45pm

Both the dinner and the supper must be prebooked and food pre chosen in advance at the Hodd so that it can be served promptly to your reserved table with no queueing required.

In the Marquee will be  a DJ and dancing and all are welcome to attend irrespective of whether dining or not.

Previously we have displayed Guy Fawkes and Jack O'Lanterns around the village but we have cancelled these events because of increasing vandalism that causes upset to the children.

Free parking is available in Church Meadow, RG25 2RA, opposite the Church. Please do not park in the roadways of Upton Grey or obstruct peoples drives.
